We carry a variety of accelerators such as Australian Gold, Swedish Beauty, Cal Tan, John Abate, Tan Incorporated, etc. We try to meet the needs of all our tanning customers. The lotions that have “tingle” or are “hot” are two different things leading to the same vein of thought.

Tingle is an irritant, making the skin feel itchy, it is added to the accelerators so that the pores of the skin open and therefore more light is absorbed. For the same reason niacin is a common ingredient, which adds a “hot” feeling to the products creating levels of, accelerators step 1 (being the weakest) through step 4 (being the strongest).Some of the products contain a bronzer. There are some accelerators that have UVA light activated bronzers. The latest craze with accelerators is adding hemp seed oil for moisture and skin firming or anti-aging lotions, which have ingredients such as CoQ10. Lip balm is important to keep lips moist during the tanning process. Protective eyewear is also available for purchase. After tanning lotions are also helpful in extending your tan as long as possible.
